Event Details

Understanding the history and nature of science has significant implications for effective science teaching and student learning of and attitudes toward science. This talk addresses commonly held misconceptions regarding the history and nature of science, how those mistaken ideas arise and are bolstered in science courses, and how post-secondary science education faculty can accurately and effectively teach the history and nature of science while bolstering understanding of science content.
