Advanced Assessment & Treatment of the Foot and Ankle: 7 CEC's Price: $265. Non-member price: $299. Thursday June 2, 2022. Instructed by Dr. Jess Reynolds. Time 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
Acting as the fundamental fulcrum point in bipedal movement, the foot and ankle play a pivotal role in one's ability to move safely and efficiently. Containing a little more than 25% of all of the bones in the body, which combine to create 33 joints in each foot, understanding dysfunctions in this region is inevitably complicated, and yet imperative for a comprehensive understanding of the body in motion. In this 7 hour workshop, students will take a deep dive into the foot and ankle. Students will gain a complete understanding of the bones and joints of the foot and ankle, as well as muscles and connective tissue, and how these structures combine to create efficient movement. This knowledge will be cemented via a detailed hands-on portion of the workshop which will cover an assessment of complex and chronic ankle and foot dysfunctions, treatment protocols including myofascial release and joint mobilizations, and be finalized with comprehensive homecare.
Having mastered the techniques taught in Advanced Assessment and Treatment of the Ankle will not only help you with ankle and foot dysfunctions; the skills and principles can be applied to every region of the body.
