Co-op Collision Day
Event Information
Description
About Co-op Collision Day
On February 27, join BC Tech as, for the first time ever, we invite co-op students from schools across BC to connect with growing technology companies currently looking for fresh talent.
A twist on the usual career fair style, the Co-op Collision Day invites participating companies to prepare a one-minute pitch of their business and the projects that co-op students would get to work on. This not only creates awareness around exciting new technologies and initiatives, it also helps co-op students get an idea of which organizations they would like to join for their placements.
Agenda
5:30 - Networking and kick-off
6:00 - Companies pitch
6:15 - Students visit company booths for "Ask me anything" breakout sessions with employers
7:00 - Networking and meetings with employers
7:20 - Closing remarks
Light refreshments will be served.

What Companies Get
Participating companies create brand awareness, connect with talented students, and help grow the technology ecosystem in BC.
Working with co-op students is not only rewarding, it’s also highly valuable for your company. While students may only be at your company temporarily, many co-op students return to the company where they did their placement for full-time employment after they graduate.
Never hired a co-op student before? Not to worry. We’ll help connect you with grants and resources and provide the information you need to hire and onboard your first student hire.
