Ask a Lawyer: What’s Force Majeure and How Should I Run a Virtual AGM and Election?

About this Event

At BCCA we want to provide forums for our co-operative community to come together during these difficult times. We are hosting a digital meetup series focused on issues specific to co-operative businesses. The meetups will feature local co-operators and subject matter experts and also provide plenty of opportunity for knowledge sharing among those in the call.

April 9th Session

Ask a Lawyer: What’s Force Majeure and How Should I Run a Virtual AGM and Election?

Join us for our first Co-op Meetup session featuring Mary Childs, a lawyer with Miller Thomson LLP and a BCCA board director. She will discuss two topics of concern to co-operatives during the COVID-19 pandemic:

  1. Force Majeure - what does it mean and how does it apply
  2. AGMs & Elections - how to ensure your virtual process is smooth and solid

We will be hosting our Co-op Meetup on Zoom - after you register, you will receive an Eventbrite confirmation email which will include the Zoom meeting details under "Additional Information".

We look forward to seeing you on Thursday!
