"Coast Mountain Folk" Trad Session
Join Jocelyn Pettit for a monthly traditional music session from 1:00pm - 3:00pm on December 20th at The Brackendale Art Gallery. Instruments welcome for participation. This is a free event - come out to listen and enjoy some amazing traditional music.
This event is presented by The Brackendale Art Gallery Society, with support from The Vancouver Community Foundation.
Session: A casual gathering of musicians who have come together to play traditional music, a practice that has been done in Ireland, Scotland, and England for centuries.
From the West Coast of British Columbia, Canada, Jocelyn Pettit is a vibrant fiddle player, stepdancer, singer, and composer. As a multicultural artist, with Scottish, Irish, French and Malaysian heritage, Jocelyn integrates the Celtic and folk traditions of her roots into her shows and compositions. With uplifting energy and engaging stage presence, she presents a lively and joyful performance of traditional, contemporary, and original music.
