About this event
Learn how these native species add diversity to the environment and provide food and shelter to birds and mammals!
As part of our mission and restoration goals, we want to plant more Coast Salish Plants to add more diversity and compete against invasive species like Himalayan Blackberry. This way we can try to recreate what a native ecosystem might look like on-site.
For Coast Salish Family Day, attendees will be guided by staff members across areas of Maplewood Flats where they will be able to plant a mixture of trees and shrubs.
Sign up by selecting the time slot you'd prefer. Each planting workshop will be held in 20 minute slots, with 8-10 people per slot.
