Event description

Description

Code Club is an informal meetup for newbies and the nerds that support us with coding.

We spend time working on projects or reporting in on our self-paced courses (like Code Academy) in order to get more fluent and make the leap to applying programming and other #libtech skills in our work and life. SQL, Ruby, HTML, git repositories, and more. Check out our open public scribbling about what we are up to over here

We'll also plan for some mini-workshops or show-and-tell. BYOCode! Something you're working on or interested in. Questions, queries, breakages and bright ideas? Code Club is for you.

The inaugural meetup was Sept 30, 2015. We hold informal repeat sessions on an an as-when-and-if-needed basis. Volunteer to host or suggest a date via this site anytime. Everyone is welcome, really, but we do try to meet AT LEAST once a month.

Code Club, thanks the BC Libraries Co-operative, BCLA, (esp BCCATS Interest Group) for their ongoing advice and encouragement.
