Event description

Description

Coffee & Careers is a monthly community-driven conversation on top-of-mind topics lead by the ever-changing Future of Work. Challenge Factory has been holding these conversations for five years and is excited to be bringing this energizing and truth-focused event to CSI. Expect great conversation, data, and evidence to challenge commonly held myths about workplace and workforce strategies. Bring the pratical tools and tips we provide, with you in your career journey.

The session is meant to be informative and thought-provoking but it is mostly a time for us to explore the topic through shared and lived experiences. By approaching each topic from different perspectives, every session is completed by confirming and dispelling several workplace and workforce myths. Our discussions will begin by addressing the monthly topic, but will expand into larger areas.

September's conversation starter:

Let’s Talk Careers! Does the evolution of the Internet mean traditional post-secondary degrees are less important?

Upcoming conversation topics:

October: Let’s Talk Careers! Should your social media profile be reviewed as part of the hiring process?

November: Let’s Talk Careers! Are younger generations better prepared for a successful career in AI and machine learning?

December: Let’s Talk Careers! Is the evolution of the way we work decreasing our ability to maintain a physically and mentally healthy lifestyle?

January: New Years' Edition: Have a career-related New Year’s Resolution? Let’s build actionable steps to achieving it together.

February: Let’s Talk Careers! Is following your passion the most important element of finding a career?
