An evening with local artists, raffle prizes and decadent treats! Lights Dance Festival invites you to our Fall Coffee House Fundraiser.

About this Event

Hosted by Japanese confections shop, LeTAO, this event will feature performances from musical guests and a reading with Canadian digital artist, writer, and educator, Aaron Tucker.

Aaron Tucker is the author of Y: Oppenheimer, Horseman of Los Alamos (Coach House Books), as well as two books of poetry, Irresponsible Mediums: The Chess Games of Marcel Duchamp (Book*hug Press) and Punchlines (Mansfield Press), and two scholarly Cinema Studies monographs. Currently, he is a guest on the Dish with One Spoon Territory, where he is a lecturer in the English department at Ryerson University, teaching creative and academic writing, as well as a doctoral Elia Scholar in the Cinema and Media Studies department at York University.

Scott-Grimes Musical Sibling Duo:

Cailleah Scott-Grimes is a Toronto-based film director and vocalist for Beatsync, an eight-piece a cappella-pop ensemble combining dynamic beats and sophisticated arrangements. Beatsync recently completed its first international tour to China, following local performances at the ROM, the Opera House, and Chateau Frontenac. Cailleah is thrilled to debut with Bryn Scott-Grimes as a musical sibling duo!

Bryn Scott-Grimes is a Toronto-based singer-songwriter, harmonicist, guitarist, and entrepreneur. Once part of the award-winning duo Taylor & Bryn, he is now pursuing a music career as a solo artist. Bryn is also the co-founder of Silverthorn Studios and Harmonica Freedom, Toronto’s one and only institution for harmonic education.

Natalie Zara is a professional bellydancer from Toronto who dances Egyptian and Latin-fusion Bellydance. She has trained and performed in various events in the GTA, as well as in Colombia and Egypt, winning several awards from different bellydance competitions. She is known for her energetic hip movements and engaging choreographies.
