What is Executive Functioning?

Executive functioning is all of the skills combined that help people get things done. These skills help you get out of bed, get the day started, decide what to wear, decide what to do when your favourite clothes are dirty, keep track of time, etc. Everyone has parts of Executive functioning that they are good at, and other areas where they struggle! This group will help youth identify which executive functions they are good at, and which ones they may need to work on.We can strengthen the areas that we have a difficult time with, by practicing using it more. The brain is like a muscle, and the more we exercise different parts, the stronger they get.

For youth aged 12-17, who have a diagnosis of Autism, and are registered with the Ontario Autism Program.
