Details

The cost of each person for both Friday and Saturday is $150.00 per person. An account has been created at Wright-Patt Credit Union, which is an affiliate in a consortium of three-thousand plus credit unions nationwide. The account is under Ulicia Woods and “Colonel White, Class of ‘88 Reunion”, in which you may begin to deposit any monies to pay towards your cost of you and your guest, if applicable. While monies may be deposited, they cannot be withdrawn without the signature of both reunion account’s 2 signatories, Ulicia Woods and Karen D. Brame.

The reunion committee is also in the process of developing up a class reunion Eventbrite page and account, as they will be set to accept payments to be deposited into the Wright-Patt reunion account via major credit cards including Mastercard, VISA and American Express. The process is similar to that of utilizing PayPal to purchase an item online from a vendor, such as amazon or eBay. If paying this way, it should be noted that a small tax is included by the Eventbrite site.

The deadline to pay all balances for your Friday & Saturday Reunion ticket is May 1, 2018, as all vendors’ contracts need to be honored. All monies after this date cannot be refunded; barring numbers not met, then monies minus expenses will be returned.

In determining the cost per person, we had to take in account both the zero balance in our Class treasury as well as fees for activities, including venue room rentals and catered meal service at Crowne Plaza as well as deejay services and cost of t-shirts. There is a Crowne Plaza hotel shuttle service that may be available if needed. The shuttles hold up to twelve passengers and may be utilized in travel between Crowne Plaza and Dayton International Airport. Additionally, if a shuttle is needed to travel among the downtown area (within ten miles) during the free time between Saturday’s memorial walk and the dinner dance, that can be arranged but please be mindful that the hotel’s first priority is service to the airport; thus, your travel may not be immediate.

For Saturday night, the catered dinner consists of an entrée, salad and side; if there are any dietary modifications needed, please let us know. Tea, lemonade and coffee will be readily available. There will be an open bar with quite a number of options of alcoholic beverages.

Please select your choice of one entrée:

Entrée: Rosemary Lemon Chicken, Grilled Salmon or New York Strip

Salad: Garden

Sides: Grilled asparagus, garlic mashed potatoes

Desserts: Vanilla Bean Cheesecake

There is a block of ten rooms reserved at the Crowne Plaza in the name of “Colonel White High School, Class of 1988 Reunion”. The guest room fee is $134.00/night, should you wish to stay onsite, and it is exclusive from the reunion fee. Please contact the hotel reservation desk in a timely manner, as your guest room reservation must be made prior to July 18, 2018. The following are ways to contact the hotel:

Regarding parking at Crowne Plaza, the following are optional:

  • Parking garage
  • Complimentary self-parking
  • Valet parking
  • Complimentary area shuttle (within ten miles)
  • Complimentary airport shuttle

From 1pm -7pm, Saturday, August 18, 2018, this time is dedicated for you to visit with loved ones and/or your Cougar mates! There are also numerous things to do locally, whether you wish to rent a pedal wagon, secure a bicycle in Ohio’s Link Bike Share program, arrange for a shuttle, drive or walk, so please enjoy exploring the various sites and diverse interests in the downtown and surrounding areas of Dayton!

Have fun as you grab drinks at any of the micro-breweries such as Warped Wing Brewery; catch a flick at The Neon theatre; view art at either the Dayton Art Institute or Willis Bing Davis Studio & EbonNia Gallery; frequent any of the unique boutiques, bars and eateries, including Dublin Pub, Blind Bob’s and Smokin Bar-B-Que in the Oregon District; experience the past and present at the Wright Cycle Company Complex or Carillon Historical Park; grab a bite at Texas Beef & Cattle Co.; shop at the 2nd Street Market; or catch a live performance at the newly-built Levitt Pavilion!

Finally, it is our sincere intent that this weekend honors as many of us as possible! A great number of us may be connected in social media and there is a Facebook page for our reunion; yet others may use more traditional modes to communicate. Either way, it is our mission that all ’88 Cougars will personally attend …

Let’s CELEBRATE Our Lives, Green with Vibrancy and Gold with Brilliance …
