Event description

Description

The emotional toll of caregiving in acute environments is undeniable and it affects frontline caregivers predominantly.

However, there is a reluctance on the part of clinicians in general and nursing professionals in particular to acknowledge emotional difficulties and to seek support.

If this goes unaddressed, it results in emotional fatigue, burnout, unwanted staff turnover and worsened clinical outcomes.

The Advisory Board has studied the problem and compiled actionable best practices from organizations that built emotional resilience successfully and sustainably.

Using examples from around the world, we will discuss how to:

  • Detect visible and non-visible signs of emotional fatigue on yourself and/or colleagues
  • Build a code of conduct that supports adherence to expected behaviours
  • Create and embed a pledge within multidisciplinary teams taht prevents toxic environments and encourages constructive inteprofessional dynamics

Registration is free but please reserve your seat.

Everyone is welcome.
