About this Event

About the session:

This workshop looks at the issues of sexualization and hypermasculinization in contemporary media. Using an intersectional lens, participants in this workshop are invited to explore and discuss the ways that sexualization and hypermasculinization are linked to colonialism. The workshop provides examples of where the issues are happening, discusses the impacts – both at an interpersonal, societal, and systemic level – and ends with some solutions for change.
