Comedian Chris Gordon at the Rod & Gun
Event Information
About this event
Live stand up is back at the Rod & Gun in Parksville as headliner Chris Gordon roars into town bringing his unique brand of infectious, laugh-yourself-out-of-your-seat comedy. Joining Chris is his un-conjoined twin Chris Griffin (they were literally separated at birth because their parents could only afford one first name for the two of them), who is an established pro headliner in his own right. Hosted by Andrew Mack and featuring special guests.
Tickets are $20 in advance or $25 at the door.
Your performers:
CHRIS GORDON
When Chris Gordon isn’t telling jokes to people for money, he has a steady schedule of making out with babes and driving sports cars fast. He has made an impact: from his break out performances at the Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal, Toronto, and Andy Kindler's Alternative Show in Vancouver; being featured on NBC's Last Comic Standing; to losing his virginity on June 16th 2:52am… 2021; his (sex) appeal is undeniable.
In his first year of comedy Chris was selected as the #1 pick in Canada on CBC's "So You Think You Are Funny" and can also be heard on CBC's “LOL”. He recently appeared at the Hot Tub show in LA, San Francisco Sketch Fest, New Orleans Hell Yes Fest and the Red Clay Comedy Festival in Atlanta, Georgia.
"Gordon lives so in the moment that each individual show becomes a legendary 'you had to be there' night, leaving his fans collecting his individual show stories like badges." - Beatroute Magazine
"One of the weirdest comics in the country. The infectious goofiness of Chris Gordon is a thing to behold... a one-of-a-kind experience." - The Georgia Straight
CHRIS GRIFFIN
Think of your wildest story. The one you love to tell people at parties. Chris Griffin has A LOT of them, and his comedy show is the party to share them with you. Having established himself as one of comedy’s most dynamic storytellers, Griffin lives life with reckless abandon both on and off stage – always chasing a crazy new experience. After winning a regional comedy competition a year into his career, he sold his house, quit his job and began touring the country telling jokes. In recent years, Griffin has won the Vancouver Yuk Off Comedy Competition, made the finals of the prestigious San Francisco International Comedy Competition, appeared six years in a row at the Just For Laughs Northwest Festival, along the way sharing the stage with notable comics such as Norm MacDonald, Doug Stanhope, Fortune Feimster, Tom Papa, Dulcé Sloan, Bert Kreischer, Mark Normand and fellow bad dude Bret “The Hitman“ Hart. The past two years Griffin has been nominated for 5 and took home 2 Vancouver Comedy Awards, including Best Comedian on Tour. Watch out for his second full length comedy album to be released in 2022 with 800 Pound Gorilla Records.
ANDREW MACK
Andrew Mack lives in a semi-abandoned house somewhere on Vancouver Island and spends his days writing jokes and trying to decide what to be when he grows up. His sharp, cleverly-worded, and sometimes cynical material has led to performances at the Pretty Good Comedy Festival and on Yuk Yuk’s Top Talent Showcase, but he has yet to achieve his ultimate comedy goal of wrestling a goat on stage.
