About this event
Featuring top stand up comedians from Toronto hosted by Harpreet Sehmbi. Harpreet has headlined Wisconsin's Lady Laughs Comedy Festival, Chicago Women's Funny Festival, featured in the North Carolina Comedy Festival, New York’s Very Big Very Asian Comedy Festival. Harpreet is a resident comic at Broadway Comedy Club and Greenwich Village Comedy Club in New York. In August 2022, Harpreet released her debut comedy album.
Comedian Isabel Zaw-Tun is a Toronto based comedian from northern Alberta. Her jokes have been featured on Buzzfeed, Huffpost, Funny or Die, Just for Laughs, and the Chicago Tribune. She has written for television (Tallboyz, Gary & His Demons), acted in various commercials, and was once hired to design a T-shirt for McCaulley Caulkin.
Comedian Danny Martinello originally starting out with his humble roots as a thespian in Edmonton Alberta, he now makes his home in Toronto Ontario performing Stand up comedy all across Canada. Often described as a high-energy act with machine gun-like delivery, Danny’s no off-limits, high octane style of comedy is making him one of Canada’s freshest acts to watch recently winning the 2021 Seattle International Comedy Competition. He has performed at the Melbourne Comedy Festival Headlining shows in Australia and has made several appearances at the world-famous Comedy Store In Los Angeles.
Headliner Al Val : Since coming out as transgender, Val has made multiple appearances at the prestigious "Just For Laughs" Festival, as well as for JFL Vancouver and Toronto and The Halifax Comedy Festival. She has taped stand-up sets for CBC Gem, Crave TV, CTV, and "JFL Originals", is also a cast member of the third season of "Drag Heals" on OutTV on February 10 2023, and has written for "This Hour Has 22 Minutes". Host of her own weekly solo stream-of-consciousness podcast "PodGis", graduate of Second City's Conservatory Program, and one part of improv-rock musical duo "OverDude", there's no wonder this multitalented whirlwind was voted by her peers as 2020's "Breakout Comic of the Year"
Between her boundlessly high energy, vulnerability and honesty regarding her transitional journey, clever, insightful perspective, and spontaneous, silly delivery, Al Val is surely a dynamic, exciting entertainer whose charm you will surely be unable to resist!
