Event description

Description

Yes, you are so worth it. Worth taking care of. Worth listening to. Worth caring for. Being kind to, and having some fun and pleasure too. So then why are we so hard on ourselves? Why do we think that we can criticize ourselves into a new way of living and loving?

Many of us are trained to use 'willpower' to 'bootcamp' our way to our goals. Over time this can be exhausting and contribute to burnout, fatigue, anxiety, depression and negative coping patterns.

Learn a different way to move forward in life.

Over 1,500 studies show that people who have more self-compassion tend to achieve their goals successfully while building resilency, improving relationships and reducing stress, anxiety and burnout.

This weekend will offer you an opportunity to connect with that part of you that knows this is true.

That part of you that has been longing for connection, self-acceptance and loving kindness - with yourself and others.

Together we will explore food, mood, hormones, body image, self-care, mindful eating, compassionate movement, goals and values. You will learn a lot, have fun, take some introspective and reflective time, and leave with your own personalized holistic plan for self-care for 2019.

It takes courage to let go of what isn't working. It takes courage to reconnect with yourself, your innate wisdom, your body wisdom, and the part of you that is longing for unconditional love, acceptance, kindness and compassion. When you do that, you can start to let go of negative coping patterns, self-defeating behaviours and self-critical, shame based thinking.
