Event description
Join us for a meal and memories celebrating Norwich's Dutch heritage and the 75th anniversary of the Liberation of the Netherlands.

About this Event

Join Norwich and District Historical Society at the Norwich Community Centre for an event celebrating Dutch migration to Norwich in the 1940s and 1950!

Over the past year Norwich and District Historical Society and the Committee for the Celebration of our Dutch Heritage have been collecting stories and reminiscences of members of our community who emigrated from the Netherlands to Canada in the 1940s and ‘50s, eventually coming to Norwich Township and enriching our community. This event will celebrate this era of migration, as well as the 75th anniversary of the liberation of the Netherlands on May 5th.

The event will begin at 4pm with opening comments. There will then be time to browse exhibits related to local families who migrated to Canada from the Netherlands, and to socialize and share stories. Dinner will be served at 6pm. The menu will be announced soon!

Tickets for this event are $30 for adult and $15 for children (children's tickets must be bought from the Museum). Please reserve your tickets by Saturday, April 18th!
