COMMUNICATION SERIES: RESCUING A PRESENTATION THAT S.U.C.K.S. - PART 3
COMMUNICATION & DIGITAL CAPABILITIES
ZOOM VIDEO CONFERENCE SESSION - (Link will be sent via email to all participants)
Description:
Imagine that you are in the spotlight as the speaker. All of a sudden, you have dry mouth and your thoughts freeze. The room might be spinning. The audience is looking at you, no, they are staring at you in a funny way. It’s a horrible moment for a presenter. Take a deep breath! This moment will pass and you will grow from this experience.
This workshop series prepares us for unpleasant moments while you are on the stage. We’ll look at four common obstacles together, one in each workshop:
1. Stage unease
2. Combat hard questions from the audience
3. Know (no) how to use technology and what to do when it fails
4. Stand with the audience (engage them)
Facilitators:: Niem Huynh, PhD, PPCC
