Event description

Description

In this one-day, hands-on learning lab, you’ll experience a mix of short presentations and activities on how to use story maps to facilitate conversation and gain alignment, including how to:

  • Frame the problem and align it to a target user, using proto-personas.
  • Construct a story map backbone, articulating the user’s high-level goals and activities.
  • Author user stories effectively, layering details into the map and breaking down complex tasks into sub-tasks.
  • Slice the map into a series of prioritized releases.

You'll leave equipped with tips, tricks and more resources to help move forward with this technique in your company.

Who it’s for: This course is designed for professionals working in a product organization who want to:

  • Learn how to better share ideas and gain alignment through storytelling.
  • Improve their team's understanding of the user and prioritize their agile backlog accordingly.
  • Work collaboratively with product managers, researchers, designers, developers and testers to effectively break down complex business projects into smaller, consumable releases.
