The evening’s festivities include prominent guest speakers Mayor Jeff Lehman, business leader and philanthropist Rainer McCullough, Carolyn Kinzie Mowatt (Pitney Bowes Software Director of Marketing) and Dr Rick Irwin along with Willard’s Adventure Club friends and family.

Biography

Mr. Kinzie has had a long and storied career as a business leader, politician, family man and visionary spanning some 70 years in our great city. Dedicated to this community as a place to bring your business and family, he has been instrumental in leading the development of the waterfront parks and trails that continues to be the jewel of Barrie’s downtown.


Willard is a founding member and Mel Osborne Fellow of the Kempenfelt Kiwanis Club. He received the 2012 Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal , the Paul Harris Fellowship from Rotary Club International, the City of Barrie Spirit Catcher Award and special citations from the Barrie Public Utilities Commission, Barrie Chamber of Commerce and the Ontario Milk Industry.


The journey of Willard continued after retirement with Willard’s Adventure Club, a non-profit expedition club where Willard lead over 500 organized trips on all 7 continents including Antartica. He twice climbed Mount Kilimanjaro without oxygen (19,760 ft.), once celebrating his 79th birthday at the summit. On the Chilkoot Trail, the Bruce Trail or at home on Kempenfelt Bay Willard has devoted his energies to creating opportunities for others.
