Community Conversation - National Social Finance Fund - Ontario Roundtable

Join collaborators from the Catalyst Community Finance Initiative as we host an Ontario roundtable session on Wednesday, December 21 (9am PST, 12pm EST). We will be joined by representatives from the TIIP Trust / Encasa Financial wholesaler proponent team to discuss the progress and opportunities towards the deployment of the national Social Finance Fund.

Participate in this 1.5 hour information session and hear insights, areas of interest and feedback thus far in the Capital Demand Survey. If you are an existing fund, an emerging fund, or are contemplating how social finance can create change within a relevant theme area, please attend this informal discussion.

The TIIP Trust / Encasa Financial wholesaler proponent team wants to hear from you. Please come with your questions and ideas as to how the national fund can best support growth in social finance. Please consider some of these questions:

• Where are you seeing existing and emerging demand for social finance as a tool for strengthening communities?
• How could a Social Finance Fund be structured to meet the needs across our sector? (Please consider type of capital, repayment/investment terms, risk management, areas of impact focus, sectors or groups that need specific attention, etc).
• Who ELSE in the Ontario ecosystem should be engaged in this conversation, as communities across Canada become engaged? Share the link to this roundtable with other collaborators who are building or running socially-oriented funds.
