Description

Have you or your loved one had a stroke? Do you have ideas about improving stroke care and rehabilitation you'd like to share with health researchers?

You are invited to join the BC SUPPORT Unit Vancouver Island Centre & the Stroke Recovery Association of BC Nanaimo Branch for a lively discussion on how to integrate health research into stroke rehabilitation and care.

Together, we will share ideas on ways to involve you, as important community members, in future research opportunities!

Special guests include:

  • Ron Smith, Author of The Defiant Mind: Living Inside a Stroke
  • Taryn Klarner, PhD, Stroke Rehabilitation, University of Victoria

WHO: People with lived experience of stroke, including caregivers, family, and friends!
