Description

Join the South West Edmonton Seniors Assosication (SWESA) and Oak Hills Community League (OHCL) for CPR and Emergency First Aid training provided by a certified Red Cross instructor. Help make our communities a safer place by training for how to help in the initial steps of injury, illness, choking, unconsciousness, or a sudden collapse that results in cardiac arrest and potentially save a life!

Do I get an official certification for this course?

Yes! You will obtain Red Cross certficiation in Emergency First Aid and CPR

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

Members must have a valid/current membership # to qualify for discounted rate.
Generally, minimum age is 14 years old but mature youth under this age are welcome.

Are there physical health requirements?

Generally, First Aid & CPR can be learned by most people regardless of physical health. However, you may be required to kneel for periods of time, and to provide practice chest compression on a training device. There is a short written test at the end. Please bring any personal-support items necessary for these skills and connect with us if you have concerns or specific questions.

Do I have to bring my printed Eventbrite ticket to the event?

No, your name will be give to the course instructor and you can check-in verbally on arrival.
