Event description

Description

The purpose of World Sikh Organization of Canada (WSO) events in June is to commemorate the 1984 invasion of Sri Darbar Sahib Amritsar and reflect on human rights and advocacy issues in the Sikh community. At the same time, WSO uses this opportunity to give an update on issues, campaigns and commitments undertaken by the organization in the previous year.

Additionally, each year WSO invites a guest speaker to address these issues that have a local as well as a global impact on the Sikh population. This year in collaboration with the Sikh Heritage Month Winnipeg, WSO is proud to host Ravi Singh, CEO of international humanitarian organization Khalsa Aid. Join us for an insightful conversation with Ravi Singh which will be moderated by WSO.

It is essentially an opportunity for Winnipeg Sikh Sangat to engage with leaders of inspirational Sikh organizations. We hope to bring together well spoken, multifaceted leaders of the Sikh community to benefit the Sikh Sangat at large.

Please RSVP to secure a spot. Incase of over demand, only those with RSVP will be given a spot inside the hall.

REFRESHMENTS WILL BE SERVED.
