Community Living British Columbia (CLBC) together with the Upper Fraser Community Council invite you to this Aging Event

Celebrate Community Living Month at this event to launch a new website, book and planning guide


Please join us to learn about these new resources. The evening will include a presentation by Dr. Nancy Jokinen about aging with a developmental disability and dementia care.

The evening will also focus on: Looking Forward to the Future: Supporting Individuals with Developmental Disabilities as they Age, a book that includes a collection of successful practice stories. You will hear inspirational stories from the book author and contributors. And you will leave this event with new resources and ideas to support planning for the future for the people you care about.

This is a free event and will be of interest to individuals and family members, CLBC staff, service providers and health care professionals and other community partners.

Nancy Jokinen is an associate professor at UNBC’s School of Social Work. Her interests are focused on aging, aging with an intellectual disability, dementia care, health, and quality of life.
