Description

Supporting Aging Adults with Developmental Disabilities

Celebrate Community Living Month at this event to launch a new website, book and planning guide

Please join us to learn about these new resources. The evening will include a presentation by Dr. Nancy Jokinen about aging with a developmental disability and dementia care.

There will also be a focus on: Looking Forward to the Future: Supporting Individuals with Developmental Disabilities as they Age, a book that includes a collection of successful practice stories. You will hear inspirational stories from book contributors. And you will leave this event with new resources and ideas to support planning for the future for the people who you care about.

This is a free event and will be of interest to individuals and family members, CLBC staff, service providers and health care professionals.
