Community Mental Health: Taking steps towards healing

We are excited to announce that we will be resuming our Fall series with a new direction to support our community’s mental health! These sessions will be directed towards providing an opportunity for participants to engage in developing a variety of healthy coping strategies.

Spirituality can be different things to different people and can be expressed in different ways. One thing is for certain, expressing your spirituality can be used as a coping strategy to maintain good mental health.

This evening will introduce you to a tool to access your true self, your intuitive self, the place of wisdom we each have available to us. We are all connected and this connection can be felt. We often feel the wisdom we carry but cannot articulate. A transformative and fun evening awaits. Join us in something magical.

To participate in the event please bring the following items:

Activity Instructor: Shakti Shanti


Workshop Organizers: Maneet Chahal & Jasmeet Chagger

Maneet Chahal is a registered nurse working in the community mental health sector in the Region of Peel. When she isn't on the front lines helping clients, Maneet is working on graduate education in the Masters of Nursing program at McMaster University.

Jasmeet Chagger is also a registered nurse working in the community mental health sector in the Region of Peel. She has prior experience working with Supportive Housing in Peel and the Centre for Addiction & Mental Health. Jasmeet has also started her Masters of Nursing Education at McMaster University this year.




We will be accepting donations to support Shakti Shanti on providing her expertise to the community.
