Description

Compost is a valuable organic resource that can be added to soil to help plants grow. It helps reduce water consumption in the garden and reduces the amount of waste we send to landfill, which is great for the environment and your wallet!

Come along to our workshop to learn how to set up and maintain your own compost bin or worm farm and produce compost for your garden.

Date: Saturday 28 November 2019

Address: The Habitat, 249 Quarry Road, Ryde

Time: 10am - 12noon (arrive 9:45am)

Who: This workshop is suitable for adults who live in the City of Ryde local government area.

Equipment: Please bring your own

  • notepad and pen

  • drink bottle

  • own cup to enjoy morning tea.

Clothing and Footwear: Please ensure you wear

  • enclosed flat shoes (no sandals, thongs or high heels please)

  • hat and sunscreen

Cost: FREE. This is provided at no cost by the City of Ryde.

Booking: Advanced bookings essential. Book early as places are strictly limited and we anticipate this session will reach full capacity.

Note: Participants who are City of Ryde residents will be provided with a 50% discount voucher to purchase a compost bin or worm farm after attending this workshop.
