Description

By registering for the first class date - NOVEMBER 6, 2017 - you are registering for all four days.

This FREE, 4-DAY program will help people who have LITTLE OR NO COMPUTER EXPERIENCE. Learn BASIC computer skills with your very own tutor!

This is not a smartphone nor a tablet/iPad class.

To benefit from these classes it is important to attend every day. The program is at Central Library from 4:00 to 5:00pm on the following dates:

CLASS 1: Monday, NOVEMBER 6:

MOUSE SKILLS: Learn how to control a mouse, click on links, drag & drop, fill in online forms and more.

CLASS 2: Tuesday, NOVEMBER 7:

INTERNET (Part 1): Learn the language of the Internet. What is a website, a webpage, a web address? How do I explore websites using the browser?

CLASS 3: Wednesday, NOVEMBER 8:

INTERNET (Part 2): Learn how to use Google to find information on the Internet.

CLASS 4: Thursday, NOVEMBER 9:

BASIC E-MAIL: Your tutor will register you for a Microsoft Outlook/Hotmail account. Learn how to compose, send and reply to e-mail and how to keep your e-mail Inbox organized.

IMPORTANT TO NOTE:

1. Our library's public computers are used but if you wish to bring you own laptop (fully charged) you may.

2. These are structured classes with prepared lessons that are designed to help people with little or no computer experience. For people seeking intermediate or advanced computer programs please contact Central Library, ext. 301 or ext. 302. We can refer you to agencies and colleges that offer more advanced classes.
