Concert at the Cave - Great Lake Swimmers
Event Information
Description
Advance tickets are now sold out. A limited number will be available at the door. Tickets for Saturday night's concert with Jill Barber are still available.
The birthplace of Canada's national parks, the Cave and Basin National Historic Site, has a rich history and connection to nature that continues to be shared in unique ways today, like Concert at the Cave. This quaint, intimate venue has presented arena sell-out artists such as Steven Page, frontman of the Barenaked Ladies, and Cape Breton fiddler and international performer, Natalie MacMaster. Concert at the Cave is in proud collaboration with Parks Canada.
The outdoor concerts run rain (snow!) or shine, so dress for the weather. Warmer clothes and blankets for when the temperature cools off in the evening are suggested. Blankets, cushions, and festival chairs are acceptable on site. Please leave pets at home as they are not allowed on site.
About the Artist:
Great Lake Swimmers are one of Canada's long-time word-of-mouth favourites on the folk music scene. Their songs have a rich, gorgeous sound that layers classic folk roots, twang, rhythm and blues and compelling songwriting. They have a reputation of recording in the field, in everything from remote cabins to abandoned subway platforms. The sounds they produce in these unique locations transform to unforgettable live shows, not to be missed.
Concert starts at 7:00 p.m. (Doors open at 6:00 p.m.)
