Description

For its annual benefit concert, the Kiwanis Festival for the Performing Arts in Stratford is excited to be presenting CONCERT FOR THE CENTURIES: Celebrating the 20s!! Not only 2020 but also the 1920s ... 1820s ... 1720s ... and 1620s!

Our tour guide through the centuries is the inestimable Rod Beattie, fresh from his appearance with London Symphonia in "Baroque Insults":

Play the "Name the Centuries" Contest! Rather than have the century for each selection identified, the audience will be asked to do it! Courtesy of Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, everyone who submits their answers that night will receive a prize and there will be a draw for one lucky patron to take home a gift basket. A grand winner will be drawn once the correct answers have been identified, winning another Rocky Mountain gift basket.

This caper through the centuries will be brought to life by talented artists who are all intimately familiar with the music festival experience, either as participants, adjudicators, or both!

For some of our participants, this annual festival is their first chance to perform on stage in front of a live audience.  And for some, the Kiwanis Festival of the Performing Arts is their first opportunity for a creative outlet! And for still others, they have made the Festival a part of their ongoing arts training.  It’s astonishing to consider how many Artists and Arts Lovers the Festival has nurtured in 94 years
