Event description

Description

Come on down to the Bar U Ranch for “Concert on Pekisko.” On August 19th, three country western bands will bring tunes inspired by life on the range and dedicated to the cowboy way.

Ryan and Hoss Fritz hail from Saskatchewan, but their roots run deep in Alberta soil. Ryan received the dintinguished "Wrangler Award” for his "original composition" at the 56th Annual Western Heritage Awards in Oklahoma City, naming him one of three Canadians to ever receive the title. Alternative Country band “Tin and the Toad” call Vulcan County home and focus their unique style and lyrics on beloved Southern Alberta. “The Wardens” work and live in Banff National Park and bring singular songs and stories from the land they’ve preserved for over 60 years.

The Calgary Stampede Mobile Stage will host each of the performers. Country Fresh Kitchens will provide Food Service, and beer gardens are available.

For a night to remember, bring a blanket or lawn chairs to set up on the lawn overlooking the Bar U Ranch Headquarters and Pekisko Creek.

Tickets on sale now, for $21.80 /person.

Grab your gear and spurs for a fun-filled cowboy weekend, with the concert kicking off our Annual Old Time Ranch Rodeo which starts Sunday morning at 10AM.

Concert starts at 7pm, with doors open at 6pm.
