Event description
Join Chanel Grenaway and Lisa Watson in this interactive workshop for social changemakers.

About this Event

As a social changemaker, do you struggle with how to engage your organization in talking about intersectionality, equity and anti-Black racism? Do you worry that you don’t know enough to be able to do it well? Are these challenges affecting your impact and individual or team wellbeing?

In this interactive workshop, we will share a human-centered approach to applying an intersectional equity lens in your organization using empathetic listening. We will work with simple conversational tools that support deeper listening and safer, richer exploration. The session is designed based on Liberating Structures facilitation techniques which creatively and inclusively engage all participants in learning and practical coaching.

You'll leave this workshop with:

  • A framework to host and participate in meaningful conversations that cultivate deep listening, clear thinking and thoughtful action
  • Simple tools to build empathy, connection and shared meaning through everyday conversations

The workshop fee is $50 and proceeds will be given to Chanel Grenaway.

If this fee poses a barrier for you, please contact Anuradha Dam at coordinator@changeopenly.com.

As a B Corp committed to equity, Openly honours the time, talent and contributions of our Black, Indigenous and People of Colour colleagues.
