This workshop is a hands-on workshop for container gardening, designed so you can use a whole variety of containers - everything from old rubber boots to coffee cans to large planting boxes!
We will examine what needs people have and the suitability of each kind of container from apartment balconies to porches to large gardens. We will discuss soil mixes, drainage, annuals vs. perennials vs. vegetables and the best suited plantings for each container.
After that, we will get our hands in the dirt and plant up the containers you bring so you can return home with your first one ready to go!
We will provide soil and some seeds or seedlings and you provide the container. If you don’t have one to bring, not to worry, we have some you can use.
