Event description
We invite you to this contemporary musical experience at St. Ansgar Lutheran featuring musicians from around Canada.

About this Event

Join us for an exciting evening of Contemporary Vespers at St. Ansgar Lutheran Church at 7:30pm on February 22, 2020. The program will feature over 50 young Canadian musicians brought in from coast to coast to perform an hour of sacred music for choir, strings, winds and percussion composed by our music director, Rashaan Allwood; a young Canadian composer, world renowned organist, and named top 30 under 30 Canadian classical musicians by CBC in 2017. Preceding the service, there will be a one hour musical prelude starting at 6:30pm featuring the musicians and singers from the ensembles performing their own original contemporary compositions, arrangements and interpretations.
