This conversation has a panel session and is in the context of our new 'Handbook of Research on the Role of Libraries, Archives, and Museums (LAM) in Achieving Civic Engagement and Social Justice in Smart Cities. '
The Book was launched by Dr. Leslie Weir, Librarian and Archivist of Canada on Jan 5th, 2022.
The idea of this Webinar is to continue the open dialog, in post-COVID times about
a. ways of engaging to increase empathy, reduce any discrimination and proactively engage in promoting prosocial/civil behaviors; and,
b. ways of involvement with community based organizations, as well as non-formal education service providers, that can address the gaps in access and equity esp., for vulnerable/marginalized populations.
