Core: Introduction to Developing a Traceability & Recall Program
Wed, 19 October 2016, 9:30 AM – 1:30 PM EDT
Join Food Starter and the Food Commercialization Program participants in this Introduction to Developing a Traceability & Recall Program workshop delivered by The Quality Coach, Kristen Palynchuk.
What is truly meant by traceability? How do I prevent, but also prepare, for a potential recall situation?
These will be the main questions answered during this training session.
A main concept behind traceability is performing a mass-balance; but with this we will need to capture raw material and finished product loss; which can be variable at times.
CFIA has developed a thorough Recall Program - which I can help you navigate and personalize for your small business.
This session will aim to help you feel prepared and in control, and reinforce a preventative attitude towards a recall situation by developing strong traceability skills and processes.
