Stay tuned, to Now what? An Update for Small Business Owners, Farmers and Professionals.
Canada’s Finance Minister initially announced proposed tax changes to CCPC’s on July 18th, 2017 addressing three key areas.
Fast forward to further announcements the week of October 16th and the revised tax measures addressing specifically income splitting on December 13th, where are we now?
Also, what further tax changes are anticipated to be outlined in the 2018 Federal Budget?
Michelle Connolly is the Vice-President, Tax, Retirement and Estate Planning with CI Investments, appointed in 2012. In this role, she is the key technical resource to CI sales and marketing teams on tax, estate planning and other general wealth planning topics. Previously, Michelle was a Regional Vice President, Wealth Planning at CI Private Counsel, an affiliate of CI Investments. Prior to joining CI in 2008, Michelle was a tax manager at an international accounting firm in its Private Client Advisor and Global Wealth and Employment services tax groups, where she oversaw corporate executive tax compliance programs and provided tax and estate planning to high net worth clients, small to medium-sized corporate enterprises and incorporated professionals.
Michelle is a CPA, CA, CFP and TEP as well as having completed several of the CPA In-Depth Tax courses.
