About this Event

The Laboratory Medicine and Pathobiology Students Union at the University of Toronto proudly presents the 9th installment of our annual conference series.

Join us this January as we take a deep dive into the amazing research conducted by renowned scientists on the SARS-CoV-2 virus. The conference will shed light on different perspectives of a pandemic and will focus on topics such as the isolation of the virus, diagnostics and treatment, epidemiology, and the genetics of COVID-19. Our goal is to educate our attendees on the latest research surrounding an issue that has severely affected the global community.

We will be featuring the works of our 2 keynote speakers: *Dr. Samira Mubareka and Dr. Robert Kozak* who isolated severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), as well as the works of our 6 general session speakers: Dr. Prabhat Jha, Dr. Keith Pardee, Dr. Michael Joyner, Dr. Eleanor Fish, Dr. Jeannie Callum, and Dr. Aled Edwards.

The conference is FREE to attend and will be hosted on a Zoom webinar.
