Event description

Description

When a workplace is experiencing some form of distress, there will be signs such as increased grievances, spiking absenteeism and/or sick leave, turnover, complaints of low morale, low scores on an engagement survey and potentially formal complaints under a respectful workplace policy. As HR practitioners, we have to read these signs and provide solid direction to management on how to most appropriately respond so that we are exercising due diligence on behalf of the employer and helping those in the workplace who are being negatively impacted.

A workplace assessment is one diagnostic tool that can be used to get more information about what is really going on in the workplace. And it is not the only tool. In this workshop, Kathryn will explore the options available to respond to workplace distress. She will also provide insights into how to conduct a workplace assessment from a best practices perspective.

The workshop would be designed for members of the CPHR community, and other members of management with responsibility for people. Participants will leave the workshop having discussed how to choose your diagnostic tool and how to conduct your best workplace assessment, either internally or through a third party neutral.
