DESCRIPTION

This is the first webinar to launch the collaboration between CRDCN and Canadian Public Policy to highlight policy-related research that is published in the journal.

The webinar in April 2021 will focus on two research papers:

“Pandemic school closures may increase inequality in test scores” by Catherine Haeck and Pierre Lefebvre

“COVID and the economic importance of in-person K-12 schooling” by David Green, Ali Karimirad, Gaëlle Simard-Duplain and Henry Siu

OBJECTIVES:

  1. Increased awareness of the impact of the pandemic on inequalities in education; and
  2. Increased awareness of the implications for school closures on the Canadian economy

Il s'agit du premier webinaire de lancement de la collaboration entre le RCCDR et Analyse et Politiques pour mettre en lumière les recherches liées aux politiques publiées dans la revue.

Le webinaire d'avril 2021 (en anglais) portera sur deux articles de recherche :

“Pandemic school closures may increase inequality in test scores” par Catherine Haeck et Pierre Lefebvre.

“COVID and the economic importance of in-person K-12 schooling” par David Green, Ali Karimirad, Gaëlle Simard-Duplain et Henry Siu.

Objectifs :

  1. sensibilisation accrue à l'impact de la pandémie sur les inégalités en matière d'éducation ; et
  2. sensibilisation accrue aux conséquences de la fermeture des écoles sur l'économie canadienne.
