Creating a Photo Essay/N21 Nightbus Project Talk/Portfolio Review
Sat, 25 June 2016, 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM EDT
This workshop is combined with the N21 the Nightbus Project Talk and explores how to come up with a photo essay and how to prepare work for submitting to a call for works or prepping for an exhibition. This workshop is especially useful for those who are trying to get their work shown, and shows how to build a stronger set of images for display. This workshop/talk combo will lead into a portfolio review where participants can get their work critiqued.
This talk will also go over Cliff’s photo essay about riding the London, UK nightbus number N21 from one end of the city to the other, and will talk about how some of the photos were selected for the final finished book.
The culmination of the Creating a Photo Essay/Prepping your Work for Exhibition Workshop and the N21 the Nightbus Project Talk is having your work reviewed by various TUPF Board Members (who have a combined total of over 60 years photography experience). You will have some time to show a set or two of photos that you’re thinking of having as a photo essay or exhibition to be critiqued and given feedback on. Time is limited, and as such, this is a first come, first served event. We will try to get through everyone, but cannot guarantee that we’ll cover everyone. Depending on the number of participants, you may be able to have your work looked at by more than one board member. As a courtesy for all participants, please bring only 1 or 2 sets of 3-10 photos on USB.
