Event description
A half-day session to learn the basics of construction project planning.

About this event

Planning is a critical skill for project managers. A Project Management Plan (PMP) is a formal document that defines how a project is going to be executed and delivered to the project sponsor/owner.

Most construction project managers don't plan effectively because they do not know how to plan well or don't have the time. That's where this half-day workshop will help: it will cover the who, what, when, how and why of project planning in an easy-to-understand and enjoyable way.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the importance of project planning and its impact on project success
  • Describe planning principles and processes
  • List the qualities of an effective project plan
  • List the standard contents of a good project management plan (PMP)

TIMING

This course will be delivered in one half-day session (3:00pm to 6:30pm Eastern time) on November 5, 2021.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND

This workshop is ideal for anyone who wishes to understand and practice the art and science of proper construction project planning.
