Description
This workshop is an introduction to movement scores from ideation to interpretation. Using dance improvisation vocabulary, participants will consider the integration of movement scores as an integral part of the creative process for live dance performances and dance film. Of interest to dancers, physical theatre and movement artists/movers with any level of experience.
Artist Bios
Rohan Dhupar (He/Him) is the curator of the 'Lost Dances Collection' in The Lost Museum. A Mississauga-based multidisciplinary artist with diverse training in theatre, musical theatre, contemporary dance performance and creation, Rohan has performed with the Charlottetown Festival (Mamma Mia!, Kronborg, Anne of Green Gables and the The Dream Catchers), Theatre Sheridan (The Threepenny Opera, On The Town, Chelsea Sunrise, Kiss Me Kate); developmental workshop with the Canadian Music Theatre Project (Kelly V. Kelly) and Musical Stage Company, Frog in Hand( cave,forest,river,field. Lifers). He has numerous credits for film, television, and stage, and has been guest choreographer at Cawthra Park for the last five years. Rohan collaborates with established and emerging artists to challenge perspectives and contribute meaningfully to discussions on diversity, representation, and our current civic climate.

In Situ Multi Arts Festival: The Lost Museum is an engaging, interactive digital site celebrating art, performance through the themes of “Lost,” introducing viewers to unknown works inhabiting the Small Arms Inspection Building (SAIB). The Lost Museum is filled with stories, short films, interactive gaming, digital features, original artwork, curated collections, and special performances by Mississauga’s creative communities.
