CREATING SAFER SPACES FOR LGBTQ+ CLIENTS

This training aims to promote safety and inclusion for LGBTQ+ individuals, families, and communities by delivering quality professional development. Participants will explore gender expression and identity and learn practical tools to address barriers faced by LGBTQ+ clients. This session's target participant audience is professionals who work with adults.


The learning goals for this training are:

  • Updating Language

  • Practical Actions

  • Understanding Diversity



DETAILS

Who: Our target audience is professionals who work with adults.
When: November 8, 9AM - 12PM
Where: The Pride Centre of Edmonton 10618 105 avenue. We are located on the second floor
Accessibility: Our centre has two entrances, 10618 and 10610. the 10610 entrance has a pull through lift that will bring you to the second floor. We also have an accessible washroom.
Parking: We have a parking lot. You will need to register your vehicle upon arrival.
Cost: Fees for this training are covered by the Alberta Family and Community Safety Grant
