About our Presenter and Facilitator: Joanna Cockerline, B.A., M.A.

Joanna Cockerline is a nationally-acclaimed writer with two decades of experience writing, editing, and designing customized writing programs for corporations and universities.

Joanna brings a strong record of success creating proposals and technical writing in diverse contexts, including engineering, infrastructure, construction, transportation, international airports, architecture, real estate, and urban planning, both nationally and internationally.

Joanna has provided customized technical writing instruction to hundreds of industry professionals who consistently value the individualized attention and insight she bring to their unique writing objectives. Clients include WSP, the former MMM Group, Hatch Mott MacDonald (now Hatch and Mott MacDonald), and leading companies and joint ventures overseas.

Beyond her achievements as a CBC Literary Awards prizewinner, writer, and writing consultant, Joanna teaches Engineering Communications, Technical Communications, and Management Communications at the University of British Columbia, where she has been nominated for a Teaching Award of Excellence.
