Hey YYC Families!
Are you finding the pursuit of building careers and growing families has created a daily life that is more busy and complicated than you'd like? Many families find it a struggle to fit in proper nourishment and resort to what is convenient due to limited time in the evenings. Don't choose McDonald's over nutrition, don't spend your evening in the parking lot scrolling Facebook while your child does an extra-curricular activity, don't fall into bed at the end of the evening thinking "Where did the time go?" or "I wish there was more time to spend together". Do come and join like-minded families that are seeking a place and space to participate in an evening that brings the positive goodness together!
In our hustle and bustle we tend to forget to cultivate our S.P.I.C.E.S;
Social / Emotional Development
The Creative Tree would like to invite you to come increase your VITALITY by exploring and developing yourself and your family through the different areas of S.P.I.C.E.S over week by week programs.
What do I get for the event fee?
A 2.5 hour evening that includes:
- A home cooked meal, ready for you to sit down and enjoy (don't worry - we've got clean up covered too!)
- A group exercise that will set the intention of learning for the evening
- Any supplies needed
- Child Care from Early Childhood Educators during the time we separate for the learning intention portion
- Each week's focus will change but there will always be something you take away at the end of the evening
- The opportunity to meet other like-minded families in a safe and clean space
What will my child(ren) be participating in?
After the family group exercise, your kids will separate to have their own adventure while you partake in yours. A skilled, qualified educator will provide developmentally appropriate activities that incorporates the same focus for the week as S.P.I.C.E.S are not limited by age.
What are the goals we hope to achieve?
Throughout the 6 weeks we hope to increase the VITALITY of your lives by articulately planned evenings based on the S.P.I.C.E.S. Each week's focus will be different as will each intention and the experiences based around it. We expect families to strengthen their relationships, build new ones within the community of like-minded families, expand their knowledge, find an outlet for expression, and overall leave feeling a little more balanced.
What time do I/we need to be there?
We would like for all families to join us by 5:30pm when our dinner service will begin. Dinner will be 45 minutes until the next portion of the evening.
What do I/we need to bring?
An open mind and a positive attitude.
Who will be leading the evening's activities?
Michele Serpanchy, Owner and Director of The Creative Tree Early Learning Centre will be partnering with multiple guest speakers to skill build and lead us through the focus for the evening. Michele is the creative mind behind the vision for The Creative Tree. With a Diploma in Early Childhood Education from Bow Valley College and hands on knowledge, she has created enriched experiences for all families including her own. She is also a big believer in life-long learning and has developed her knowledge through a variety of extra courses, conferences and workshops.
What are my parking options for the evening?
We have free parking right in front of our building or in our back lot.
Where can I contact the organizer with any questions?
Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions you may have, we appreciate all questions and feedback!
What is the refund policy?
The ticket is non-refundable, however, it is transferrable to the following week's program. However, please notify Michele at email@example.com at least one week prior to the event if you are unable to attend.
