Who We Are

Creativity+Toastmasters

is a unique Toastmasters club in central Ottawa. We are part of District 61 in Toastmasters International.

Our club’s mission is to provide a fun, supportive and creative environment for individuals who are open to taking risks and exploring their uniqueness.

What’s in it for me

Creativity+ provides a safe environment to practice speaking in public, giving critical feedback and thinking on your feet – skills that help you become a more effective communicator and speaker!

How does it work?

A typical meeting at Creativity+ includes a number of unique, short speaking roles that allow members to stretch their creative muscles:

• Roundtable on the Theme
• Word of the Day
• Absurd Quotation
• Off-the-Wall Story
• Rant or Rave

During the Improv Session, volunteers speak on a chosen topic with little time to prepare, which is always a lot of fun!

For the Formal Speaking Session, members deliver prepared speeches to practice and build on their existing skills.

Each speaker receives valuable, constructive feedback from both an assigned evaluator and other club members.

We are meeting online for now via Zoom (details will be sent upon the registration).

The meeting starts at 6:30pm, but please join up 15 minutes prior to get set up and meet our friendly club members.
