Cree Language & Recovery Program with: Dwayne Lesas
Date: May 30 - 31, Time: 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. Location (for in-person attendees): Chateau Louis, 1727 Kingsway NW, Edmonton
Classes will be offered on Microsoft Teams/YouTube OR in-personCost: $150 for in-person / $25 for onlineLunch, coffee, and refreshments will be provided for in-person attendees.
Join us for an intensive, 2-day workshop on Cree language. Dwayne uses storytelling, music, math, and fun to teach foundation Cree concepts and pronunciation. These teachings are designed for teams and families to learn together, and continues well after the workshop has concluded. Dwayne will send out follow-up lessons to be completed on an ongoing basis so participants are able to turn their language practice into long-term learning.
Dwayne’s vision is to bring the Cree language back to the people & bring a sense of pride and ownership over such an important part of Indigenous History.
