Description

Presented by Hart House and the Faculty of Music’s Music and Health Research Collaboratory, this event will delve into the links between music and health as it relates to neurological research findings in mobility, recovery and memory. The evening will Feature a keynote address by Dr. Corene Thaut, special presentations of graduate student research and music demonstrations and participatory activities.

Dr Thaut received her Master’s in music therapy and her PhD with an interdisciplinary focus of music, neuroscience and statistical design. Cr Thaut’s work has included diverse populations including traumatic brain injuries. Dr Thaut is a respected voice in her field and is well published author in the areas of music and motor control; she is nationally and internationally recognized for her clinical expertise in evidence based practice of Neurologic Music Therapy.
